As a registered training organisation, AGWS provides accredited training in Certificate III in Home & Community Care. The Certificate is a nationally recognised qualification. The training will enable a person to become a qualified Community Care Worker to provide assistance and support to frail elderly in our community.
Some of the tasks of a Community Care Worker will perform includes: escorting clients to appointments, assistance with shopping, providing assistance with home cleaning and personal care tasks.
The modules the Community Care Worker will cover include: negotiating the HACC service system, OH&S legislation and how it applies to community care, duty of care, activities and recreation, manual handling, personal care and first aid training.
All participants who undergo this certificate will also be provided with a minimum of 15 hours work per week as part of their training with AGWS.
